Waves
It came again,
Salty air raising inside the head,
Measuring each cell
As if looking deeper will make it go further
The grip is never tighter, lasting as far as the memory
Fingers deep inside the sand,
Feeling for the moisture
Lungs belting out the smoke,
Trying to find a cure for the cancerous loneliness
Soul crying out with hunger
Ever lasting memories
Why did you leave the shore
For the shore has changed forever
When you came back..
The waves..
Salty air raising inside the head,
Measuring each cell
As if looking deeper will make it go further
The grip is never tighter, lasting as far as the memory
Fingers deep inside the sand,
Feeling for the moisture
Lungs belting out the smoke,
Trying to find a cure for the cancerous loneliness
Soul crying out with hunger
Ever lasting memories
Why did you leave the shore
For the shore has changed forever
When you came back..
The waves..
